Communications Toolkit Global Platform on Disaster Risk Reduction (GPDRR) 2022

The Disability-inclusive Disaster Risk Reduction Consortium is organising 7 events at the Global Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction (GPDRR 2022), on site, at the Bali Nusa Dua Covention Center (BNDCC), Indonesia.

The GPDRR 2022 is a critical moment to take stock of the progress of Sendai Framework implementation. It is also important to strengthen the leadership of the most at-risk groups, including persons with disabilities in disaster risk governance.

This document is toolkit aims to support the promotion of disability inclusion at the 7th Session of the Global Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction (GPDRR) held in Bali, Indonesia, on 23-28 May 2022. This toolkit can be used by the disability- inclusion stakeholders participating in the platform, including the members and partners of the DiDRR Consortium and the Organisations of Persons with Disabilities (OPDs).

This toolkit provides general guides for our #ResilienceForAll campaign, including the key messages and social media templates.

Feel free to use and adjust the content of this toolkit to fit your organisation’s campaign.

Our overall communication goals for this event include:

  • to influence the GPDRR 2022 outcomes;
  • to ensure that disability-inclusive disaster risk reduction (DRR) is featured and included in conversations, outcome documents, and social media feeds from the event.
